About the role

Staff Product Designer, AI Products at Jobgether in US. Remote, full-time, paying $210k–$247k. Posted November 6, 2026.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Designer, AI Products based in the United States.

The Staff Product Designer will shape the design language and AI-powered product experiences across a growing healthcare intelligence platform. This high-impact role combines exceptional design craft with hands-on prototyping, systems thinking, and deep familiarity with AI-driven workflows. You will establish the principles, patterns, and tools that help product managers, engineers, and other teams create consistent, high-quality experiences. You will also tackle complex design challenges yourself, particularly around AI interfaces that communicate their reasoning, sources, and uncertainty while allowing users to verify and correct outputs. Working across shared platform capabilities and multiple product teams, you will make great design easier to achieve at scale. This is an opportunity to influence the entire product ecosystem while advancing how people interact with AI in healthcare and data-intensive environments.

Accountabilities

    • Define and own the product design language, including design principles, typography, color, motion, voice, and core interaction patterns.

    • Document and encode design standards into reusable skills, tools, components, and templates that guide both human teams and AI-assisted product development.

    • Build, maintain, and continuously improve design skills and tools as products in their own right, using versioning, measurement, and evaluation to identify and correct inconsistencies.

    • Design complex AI-powered interfaces and workflows, including experiences that communicate plans, progress, sources, confidence, and opportunities for user correction.

    • Lead the design of dense analytical experiences and new product concepts, using AI-powered tools for rapid prototyping and Figma where appropriate.

    • Personally prototype and deliver high-impact product experiences, taking selected concepts from early exploration through general availability.

    • Identify recurring design issues and address them at the source by improving shared systems and tools rather than repeatedly fixing individual screens.

    • Enable product managers, engineers, and forward-deployed teams to build consistent, polished experiences independently.

    • Establish quality standards for prototypes and shipped products, using measurable evaluation methods to monitor consistency and design quality.

    • Collaborate across product and engineering teams to improve usability, task success, adoption, and overall product experience.

    • Requirements:

      • At least 8 years of product design experience, including staff-level ownership of complex B2B, data, or analytics products from initial prototype through scale.

      • Exceptional visual, interaction, and content design skills, supported by a strong portfolio of shipped work.

      • Demonstrated ability to build functional prototypes using AI-powered development tools, not just static design mockups.

      • Hands-on experience using tools such as Claude or comparable AI systems as part of daily design and prototyping workflows.

      • Strong understanding of how AI interprets design instructions and reusable skills, why generated outputs can become inconsistent, and how to build systems that make high-quality results the default.

      • Experience creating and driving adoption of a design system, component library, toolkit, or reusable skills framework used by teams beyond your immediate group.

      • Proven experience designing AI-powered products and interfaces, including ways to communicate system reasoning, sources, uncertainty, and user verification or correction.

      • Ability to identify complex design problems, develop practical solutions, and translate design principles into clear guidance that both people and AI systems can follow.

      • Strong coding or front-end development skills sufficient to build functional interfaces and make component-level code changes.

      • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and provide clear, actionable guidance.

      • Preferred: Experience in healthcare, regulated data environments, claims, electronic health records, patient journeys, or provider analytics.

      • Preferred: Experience designing data visualizations and complex analytical workflows.

      • Preferred: A background in front-end engineering.

      • Preferred: Experience evolving a design system through a platform or brand transition.

      • Benefits:

        • Annual base salary:

          • San Francisco Bay Area and New York City: $210,000–$247,000 USD.

          • All other eligible US locations: $183,000–$215,000 USD.

          • Potential eligibility for performance-based bonuses.

          • Potential eligibility for equity awards.

          • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.

          • Flexible time off and paid holidays.

          • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.

          • Disability insurance and life insurance.

          • Leaves of absence in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.

          • Remote work option within the United States, with hybrid arrangements available for employees near designated hubs.

          • Opportunity to influence AI product design standards and shape innovative healthcare technology.
