Job requirements

• Experience Range: 2 - 4 years of experience, including at least 2 years providing operational database support across SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle platforms Key Responsibilities: 1. Monitor and manage database availability, performance, and resource utilization alerts for SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle environments on a 24x7 basis 2. Administer user accounts by creating, modifying, disabling, and resetting passwords, as well as managing database permissions and access controls 3. Log, categorize, and prioritize incident tickets, escalating unresolved issues and collaborating with L2 teams to ensure timely resolution 4. Execute approved scripts, restart database services, run regular health checks, and generate operational and audit reports to maintain system integrity 5. Verify backup completion, validate backup job logs, and escalate any failed backups to ensure data protection and recovery readiness 6. Review database logs, failed maintenance jobs, agent jobs, and replication health alerts to proactively identify and address potential issues 7. Support database failover notifications, migration activities, and deployment processes to ensure business continuity and smooth transitions 8. Update and maintain knowledge articles to promote best practices and enhance team knowledge sharing Required Skills: 1. SQL Server administration 2. Azure SQL database management 3. PostgreSQL administration 4. Oracle DBA tasks and PL/SQL 5. Backup and recovery processes for SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle 6. User account and permission management in enterprise database environments 7. Database monitoring tools (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Azure Monitor) 8. Script execution and troubleshooting for health checks and maintenance 9. Audit log analysis for compliance and operational reporting Preferred Skills: 1. Weblogic Administration 2. MongoDB and NoSQL database support 3. WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, and NGNIX middleware platform management 4. Experience with BIZTALK, Informix DBA, or DB2 environments 5. MySQL administration 6. CFI/MFT platform familiarity Desired Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 2. Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional 3. Certification in PostgreSQL administration (e.g., EDB Certified PostgreSQL DBA)
