ERP Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an ERP Project Manager based in India.

We are looking for an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead complex enterprise resource planning implementations and drive large-scale digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and requirements definition through implementation, deployment, and stabilization. You will ensure that ERP solutions align with business objectives while maintaining control over budgets, timelines, resources, and quality standards. Working with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders, you will apply Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies to deliver successful project outcomes. You will also establish effective governance frameworks, anticipate potential risks, and lead change management initiatives to support organizational transformation. Accountabilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end ERP implementation projects, from project initiation and planning through execution, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans using Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies, selecting the most appropriate approach based on project requirements and business objectives.
• Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure successful project execution.
• Establish and maintain robust project governance structures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, quality expectations, and delivery commitments.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and maintain project continuity.
• Lead change management activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective adoption of new ERP systems and business processes.
• Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, control costs, and optimize resource allocation to maintain financial efficiency.
• Oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring effective coordination between technical teams and business stakeholders throughout implementation.
• Ensure ERP solutions are aligned with business transformation objectives and evolving organizational requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring clear responsibilities, effective communication, and accountability across all project activities.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, facilitate project discussions, and provide regular updates on progress, risks, budgets, and key deliverables.
• Utilize project management platforms such as MS Project, Jira, and Planview to monitor schedules, track progress, manage resources, and generate reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, operational efficiency, and overall implementation quality.

Requirements:

• Between 8 and 12 years of professional project management experience, preferably within the IT Services industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale ERP implementation projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong expertise in project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.
• Hands-on proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Planview.
• Extensive experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and financial management.
• Strong knowledge of project governance frameworks, risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and change management practices.
• In-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its application within enterprise technology implementations.
• Experience aligning ERP implementations with business transformation strategies, organizational objectives, and evolving operational processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams while managing complex stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams, business leaders, and senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in identifying project challenges, evaluating alternatives, and making informed decisions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within agreed timelines.
