About the role

EHS&S Systems Architect at Jobgether in US. Remote, full-time. Posted November 4, 2026.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an EHS&S Systems Architect based in the United States.

Join a global organization and play a key role in shaping its Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) digital ecosystem. In this strategic position, you will translate complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable, integrated, and sustainable technology solutions. You will own the EHS&S solution architecture, guide digital transformation initiatives, and develop a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with global business priorities. Working closely with business stakeholders, Global IT, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture teams, you will ensure that systems meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and data integrity. You will also drive technology selection, system integration, reporting capabilities, and continuous improvement across international operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced architect to influence enterprise-wide solutions and strengthen the digital foundations of global EHS&S operations.

Accountabilities:

  • Solution Architecture and Strategic Planning: Lead complex, cross-functional EHS&S technology initiatives and define the strategic solution architecture and multi-year technology roadmap for the global digital ecosystem.
  • Business Process Analysis: Assess and document current and future EHS&S processes, identifying operational gaps, control requirements, pain points, standardization opportunities, and impacts on people, processes, data, and technology.
  • Requirements Gathering and Discovery: Facilitate structured discovery sessions with global and local stakeholders to translate business processes, regulatory obligations, and user needs into clear business, functional, reporting, data, integration, and technical requirements.
  • Solution Design and Documentation: Develop and maintain process maps, business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, solution blueprints, interface specifications, and requirements traceability throughout the design, testing, and deployment lifecycle.
  • Systems Integration: Design scalable, end-to-end solutions across EHS&S platforms and connected enterprise systems, defining system boundaries, integration patterns, data flows, user roles, controls, and authoritative data sources.
  • Technology Assessment and Vendor Management: Establish solution intake processes and design standards, conduct fit-gap assessments and technical due diligence, evaluate technology options, and determine whether business needs are best addressed through configuration, internal solutions, or enterprise platforms.
  • Technology Partnerships: Lead vendor evaluations and maintain relationships with EHS&S technology providers, influencing product roadmaps and solution decisions to support long-term business needs.
  • Governance, Security, and Compliance: Collaborate with Global IT, cybersecurity, privacy, quality, validation, and enterprise architecture teams to ensure solutions comply with technical standards, data integrity requirements, security policies, and applicable regulatory expectations.
  • Testing and Implementation: Coordinate user acceptance testing, develop test scenarios, manage requirements-based defect resolution, secure business approvals, and ensure deployment readiness and post-implementation validation.
  • Stakeholder Guidance and Mentoring: Coach and support cross-functional teams and individual contributors, helping them deliver complex global initiatives while promoting consistent architecture and delivery practices.
  • Metrics and Reporting Governance: Own EHS&S reporting and metrics requirements, including reporting calendars, source-data validation, data quality management, documented metric definitions, calculation methodologies, and reporting controls.
  • Analytics and Continuous Improvement: Lead the development, testing, documentation, and enhancement of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations. Manage reporting and analytics backlogs, dependencies, technical debt, adoption, and the transition toward sustainable operational ownership.
  • Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or relevant architecture and technology certifications is preferred.
  • Professional Experience: At least 10 years of experience in EHS&S, digital solutions, business systems, enterprise applications, solution architecture, or a related field, preferably within a global and regulated industry.
  • Business and Technical Architecture: Demonstrated experience translating complex business processes into scalable technology solutions and requirements across multiple functions, geographical regions, and operational sites.
  • Enterprise Systems Expertise: Experience working with enterprise EHS&S platforms and integrating them with adjacent business applications, data platforms, analytics tools, and identity and access management services.
  • Implementation and Lifecycle Management: Proven experience supporting technology selection, solution design, implementation, validation, deployment, and transition into sustainable operational environments.
  • Solution Architecture Skills: Advanced knowledge of solution architecture, process design, requirements engineering, systems integration, data flows, and application lifecycle governance.
  • EHS&S Domain Knowledge: Working knowledge of EHS&S management systems and processes, including incident management, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), occupational health, environmental management, and sustainability reporting.
  • Technology Evaluation: Ability to distinguish underlying business requirements from proposed technical solutions and guide stakeholders toward practical, scalable, and maintainable designs.
  • Governance and Compliance: Understanding of regulated-industry requirements relating to data integrity, privacy, cybersecurity, system validation, change management, and quality controls.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts, architectural decisions, and trade-offs to business leaders and executive audiences.
  • Global Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively across international, multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders without relying on direct reporting authority.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical judgment, structured problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and disciplined documentation practices.
  • Relevant Certifications: Certifications in solution or enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, business analysis, project management, data management, or EHS are preferred. Examples include TOGAF, Azure, CBAP, PMP, or CSP.
  • Benefits:

  • Remote work flexibility: Fully remote opportunity within the United States.
  • Full-time employment: Stable, full-time position within a global organization.
  • Comprehensive benefits package: Access to employee benefits and well-being programs designed to support physical, mental, and financial health.
  • Professional development: Opportunities to expand technical expertise, strengthen architecture capabilities, and grow professionally.
  • Global exposure: Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders across multiple regions and business functions.
  • Strategic impact: Contribute to enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives and influence the long-term direction of global EHS&S technology.
  • Innovation and technology: Work with enterprise platforms, integrated digital solutions, data analytics, and evolving technologies.
  • Inclusive workplace: Join a diverse and collaborative environment that values different perspectives, curiosity, empathy, and professional contribution.
  • Accessibility and support: Commitment to providing reasonable accommodations and an equitable experience throughout the recruitment process.
