## Description

**Friendship Hospital for Animals**, a leading AAHA-accredited specialty and emergency hospital in **Washington, DC**, is seeking an experienced **OvernightCredentialed Veterinary Technician** to support our Specialty Teams in a unique way. **About the role:**

- Provide exceptional, compassionate nursing care to stable post-op patients, pre surgical patients and medical boarders.

- Collaborate with various specialty services as well as our emergency team.

- Utilize advanced technical skills, including vascular access, CRIs, fluid therapy, and other patient care skills as needed.

- Maintain accurate medical records and a clean, organized ward.

- Monitor and recognize subtle changes, and confidently advocate for patients where appropriate

- Mentor technicians, assistants, and trainees while fostering a culture of learning and clinical excellence.

- Support pet owners with compassionate communication

- Receive patient handoffs and confirm treatment orders, monitoring requirements, and the responsible veterinarian before assuming care.

**Schedule:** This is a full or part-time overnight position. 12-hour shifts Monday – Friday. No weekends or on call!
