### **Part-Time Traveling Optometrist (OD) – New MexicoLocation:** Statewide NM (Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Farmington, Gallup, Taos, Las Cruces, Roswell)

**Schedule:** 2–6 weekdays per month (Wed/Thu/Fri)

**Compensation:** $1,200 per diem

**Position Type:** Independent Contractor (1099)

### **About The Opportunity**

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to deliver high-quality vision care across multiple New Mexico communities. This is a clinic-based role where you’ll function as an extension of established outpatient teams serving senior populations.

If you’re looking for meaningful, mission-driven work with schedule consistency — without the overhead of running your own practice — this opportunity offers flexibility, autonomy, and full administrative support.

### **Travel Expectations**

This is a traveling optometrist role. Candidates must be comfortable driving **up to 4 hours** to assigned clinic locations, which may include some or all of the following regions:

- Albuquerque

- Santa Fe

- Farmington

- Gallup

- Taos

- Las Cruces

- Roswell

Mileage reimbursement is provided.

### **The Setting**

This opportunity operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model:

- Full-time clinic staff on-site

- Organized scheduling and patient flow

- Coordinated, team-based care environment

- Value-based model focused on seniors

CMC manages equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing — allowing you to focus entirely on delivering high-quality vision care.

### **What You’ll Do**

- Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments

- Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope

- Prescribe corrective lenses and provide treatment recommendations

- Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team

- Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting

### **What Makes This Different**

This is **not** a high-volume retail model.

Our optometrists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent CMC directly within each partner location. We emphasize:

- Quality over volume

- Consistency and predictability

- Administrative and logistical support

- Long-term clinic partnerships

- Ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery

### **Qualifications**

- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program

- Active New Mexico optometry license

- Experience with senior populations preferred

- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

- Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments

- No nights

- No weekends

- No billing or administrative responsibilities
