**Daniels Health is offering a $1,000 new hire bonus for joining our amazing team in Hayward! **

 
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver who can operate a **box truck (26 feet) **across the **Hayward, CA** area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily.  This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits. ### What will your job involve?

- **Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer sites**

- Provide professional, courteous service and build positive customer relationships

- **Operate 26ft box trucks safely in all conditions**

- Complete routes on time and communicate delays or issues as they arise

- **Load and unload containers; organize your truck and day to meet your schedule**

- Perform **pre‑trip and post‑trip** inspections and report issues immediately

- Consistently lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of 50-75 lbs.

- Pushing and pulling 100-250 lbs, as appliable to the role.

- **Follow DOT regulations, log hours correctly, and support roadside inspections**

- Work with dispatch and teammates to resolve route or customer problems

- Own up to mistakes, report incidents accurately, and follow through on fixes

### What are we looking for?

- Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)

- Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week

- Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations

- Passing our **7 Year FADV review** in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse

- A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus

- Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner **(as large as 26 ft box trucks)**

- Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections

- Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3

- Proven longevity in past employment

- On time delivery practices
